MOVe Makes a Bold Global Debut in Dubai: A Runway Reimagined
Dubai, UAE: Against the sophisticated backdrop of Marriott Al Jaddaf, something far greater than a fashion show unfolded on July 4 — a movement was born. Marking its international debut, MOVe signalled its arrival not merely with glamour, but with purpose. Curated by Emirates Holding Group, in collaboration with MOVe Events and backed by Rose Merc Ltd, this three-part spectacle seamlessly merged the worlds of fashion, entrepreneurship, and real estate under one resplendent roof.
In a landscape often obsessed with youth and spectacle, Eternal Runway, the highlight of the evening, chose a different path — one paved with inclusivity, sustainability, and age-positive representation.
A defining moment of the evening featured senior models aged 50 and above gracing the runway, not as tokens, but as icons of timeless elegance. It wasn’t just a walk; it was a bold stride against outdated beauty norms. Their presence underscored the show’s core message: fashion is not confined to age, and style knows no expiration date.
In another stirring segment, an eco-conscious designer unveiled a collection crafted from pre-loved denim and upcycled fabrics. It was a powerful reminder that sustainability doesn’t have to sacrifice style — in fact, it can redefine it.
The invite-only event drew a discerning audience of fashion insiders, buyers, digital influencers, and media professionals, all of whom were left captivated, not just by the couture but by the courage behind it. Adding gravitas to the evening were esteemed guests, including Dr. Mohd Saeed Al Kindi, Former Federal Minister of Environment & Water, UAE, Yaqoob Al Ali, Office of His Highness Sheikh Juma bin Maktoum Al Maktoum, Bu Abdullah, Chairman of Bu Abdulla Group & Rizwan Sajan, Founder & Chairman of Danube Group.
Joining them as Guests of Honour were a distinguished group of business and community leaders: Uday Tardalkar, Vaishali Parkar Kumar, Ghayyour Ahmed Khan, Rohan Pradhan (DIP), Aditya Sule, Priyesh Khirad, Ashish Das, Majid Khan, Harjyot Oberoi Bohra, Thanveer Aboobaker, Sherif Thomas, Rami Mahmoud, Aziz Zee, and many more dignitaries.
Powering the Vision: Purvesh Shelatkar
At the heart of this ambitious debut lies the quiet force of Mr. Purvesh Shelatkar, Executive Director of Rose Merc Ltd., the firm that holds a 50% stake in MOVe. A visionary with a sharp acumen for business scalability and brand-building, Mr. Shelatkar didn’t just back the show — he helped sculpt its DNA.
It was his steadfast belief in MOVe’s potential and hands-on mentorship that enabled the brand to scale globally within its first year. From aligning investors to guiding strategy, his involvement went beyond support — it was the engine behind the momentum.
As the lights dimmed on the inaugural edition of MOVe’s international showcase, one thing was crystal clear: this wasn’t merely about haute couture — it was about changing the conversation around who gets to be seen, celebrated, and styled.
With its powerful fusion of art, activism, and ambition, MOVe has truly lived up to its name, not just launching a fashion event but setting a new standard in the global creative economy.
